The Yamuna Biodiversity Prk, Delhi is slated to act as a heritage site and repository of approxiamately 50 threathened communities of Yamuna river basin. It will serve as an ideal alternative habitat for migratory and resident bird species. It will also be designed to conserve the wild genetic resources of africultural crops and enhance ground water recharge and augment fresh water avialability. The holistically envigsaged park, with an area of 80 ha, will ahve a positive impact on the local weather patterns and conserve the micro and macro ecosystems.
