Stadia, an internationally acclaimed shooting range, a cycling
velodrome and much else when Delhi played host to the 9th Asian
Games in the year 1982.

was accomplished in just a few months' time that was available.
- The fully air-conditioned 25,000-viewer-capacity Indira Gandhi
Indoor Stadium built by the DDA at that time was a testimony to
DDA's engineers and workers' capacity to deliver under deadline
pressure.
- The lush-green shooting range of international standards that
DDA developed at Tughlaqabad was appreciated all round for its
excellence.
- DDA built the Asian Games Village at Siri Fort, providing residential
accommodation to the thousands of participants in the Games, as
also a dining hall, an auditorium and other facilities.
